Caring Through the Holidays
(Goshen, N.Y.) – Elant, Inc., in collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Association, will present a program called “Caring Through the Holidays.”
The holidays can be fun-filled times with opportunities for families and friends to share laughter, great food, and fond memories and to enjoy old and new rituals together. At times, however, the holidays also can be filled with stress, confusion, disappointment, sadness, and increased feelings of isolation and loneliness.
The guest speaker, Alicia Terrana, from the Alzheimer’s Association Hudson Valley/Rockland/ Westchester, NY Chapter will provide suggestions for caregivers and persons with dementia to get through the holidays without becoming overwhelmed and feeling stressful emotionally and physically.
The event is being held at Elant at Goshen, 46 Harriman Drive, Goshen, NY, 10924, on Monday, December 3rd, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
There is no charge for the event but an RSVP is suggested. For additional information or to RSVP, please contact Gail Green at 845-291-3776 or via email at ggreen@elant.org.
