Elant VP Appointed to Statewide and Regional Committees
(GOSHEN, N.Y.) Anne Striphas, Elant’s vice president of marketing sales and public relations, was recently appointed to both the New York Association of Homes and Services for the Aging’s statewide political action committee, and to the Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation’s Economic and Community Affairs Committee.
As a member of the NYAHSA PAC, Striphas will work on a voluntary basis to promote the interests of the not-for-profit long-term care industry in the New York State political process. In her role as a member of the Dutchess County EDC’s committee, she will help educate the business community about the EDC’s activities and support the development of the organization’s revenue stream.
Striphas joined Elant in 2005 after more than a decade of experience in corporate communications and the media. Striphas previously was an editorial writer and columnist at the St. Petersburg Times, Florida’s largest newspaper.
She began her career as a writer and assistant editorial page editor at the Times Herald-Record in Middletown, N.Y.
Striphas is a graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton. She did post-baccalaureate work in sociology and government at Cornell University, where she was the recipient of a Sage Fellowship for graduate studies. She completed the Harvard-MIT-Tufts University Disputes Resolution Program, part of the program on negotiation at Harvard Law School, and was named a 2006 Orange County Rising Star in business. She is a member of numerous civic organizations including the Goshen Rotary Club, and sits on the board of directors of Inspire.
