Glen Arden Showcases Students’ Art Work
GOSHEN, N.Y. -- More than 50 residents, staff and members of the community gathered recently at the Glen Arden Health Care Center to attend an art opening that featured the creative work of three local high school students.
Rachael Bailey, Melissa Sciorra and Kaitlyn Snitchler, all students at S.S. Seward Institute in Florida, volunteered their time to paint panels that now decorate a corridor in the health care center.
Each student painted a panel measuring six feet by four feet that depicted different seasons of the year. S.S. Seward art teacher Lucy Duquette assisted the students with their projects, which took about three weeks to complete.
Duquette found the project so fulfilling, she plans to return at a later date with additional students to paint the foyer of the facility.
